Yes, absolutely! During your initial consultation, you and your Health Coach will discuss your health history, including medications you are being prescribed, surgeries you have had, and any protocols you may be following with your primary physician. Your Health Coach will work with you and in tandem with your primary physician. It is recommended that you disclose with your physician that you are working with a Health Coach. Please note that a Health Coach can only recommend dietary and lifestyle changes, not any prescription medications.
Results will vary from client to client and is dependent on multiple factors. It is important to remember and consider how long certain conditions have taken to manifest in the body, therefore, to reclaim and maintain health through diet and lifestyle changes takes more time than it does to bandage symptoms with medication or surgery. Results are also directly tied to a client’s determination and focus to follow through on recommendations that are made by the Health Coach. Most can notice results within one to three months.
Good gut health is essential for overall wellness. The bacteria and other microorganisms living in our digestive tract, referred to as the gut microbiome, play a crucial role in maintaining immune system function, promoting nutrient absorption, regulating energy metabolism, and many more bodily functions. Imbalances of the gut microbiome can lead to a range of health issues like chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Eating a balanced diet full of prebiotic foods such as legumes, fruits, and vegetables can help nourish the beneficial bacteria in our gut. Incorporating probiotics like yogurt, sauerkraut, and kimchi into your diet is also beneficial for promoting healthy gut flora. Additionally, reducing stress levels and getting adequate sleep can help keep your gut microbiome balanced. Maintaining a healthy microbiome is an important step for achieving and maintaining optimal health.
Detoxifying your body is important because our bodies are exposed to many toxins on a daily basis. From the air we breathe, to the foods and beverages we consume, or even just everyday stressors in life – all of these can accumulate in our bodies over time and cause harm to our health. Regular detoxification helps to rid our bodies of these harmful substances and helps to reset them for better functioning. To effectively detox your body, it is important to incorporate good habits into your daily routine such as eating a balanced diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly, and getting adequate sleep. Taking the time for yourself to practice these healthy habits can make a big difference in how you feel and perform on a day-to-day basis. Additionally, engaging in gentle cleanses and specialized detoxes throughout the year can help target specific organs, tissues and toxins to keep your body at optimal performance.
